The past couple weeks Comcast keeps sending me texts and emails telling me I’m eligible to upgrade my Gateway now through 5/31/2025.
I am currently using an XB7 on the 1200/35 plan. My area has not upgraded to mid split yet.
I keep the Gateway in bridge mode since I use Ubiquiti UDM Pro and AP’s.
The only upgrade would be to an XB8 but I believe the only benefit is better Wi-Fi. Since I don’t use the Wi-Fi I don’t see a reason to upgrade.
I’m guessing this is just the free upgrade they offer with xFi Complete. Does anyone here have opinions whether I should or should not upgrade?
I’m curious why the offer would end on 5/31/2025. Since it’s their modem if I have a problem with it they are responsible for the exchange.
