OK, now that i've read alot of the above (though not, for example, the Rufus FAQ which is Greek to me), I'd like to get things straight, so if you can correct whichever is wrong, as this is terrifying me:
(A) Buy Lexar flash-drive?? Or three/four of them?? (see "D" below
(B) Download Rufus 4.6 Standard X64?? is that correct?
..........download it onto my laptop?? or onto the Lexar flash-drive??
(C) Not via Rufus - download via massgrave.dev/windows_11_links
........windows 11 Consumer 23H2
.................download it onto my laptop?? or onto the Lexar flash-drive??
(D) do i backup my Win-10 now? Not that I know how.
........if so, was I supposed to buy 3 Lexars, one for 23H2, the other two for backing up Win-10 of each laptop?
........and maybe even a 4th Lexar for downloading Rufus onto?
Seems as if however many backup flash-drives i've bought, its never enough to comply with MS impositions.
(E) Proceed with the Rufus process (which i'll probably have further Qs about, such as how one sets up local accounts)
(F) Even suppose by a miracle, this is all executed successfully, there's also the matter of MS' endless updates. So if MS forced auto-update is the 24H2 version, would my older laptops crash?
