This is just an "FYI" for those who have been frustrated with various attempts at getting thorough WiFi coverage throughout your home. I had posted this info previously in DSL.
I had tried both 3 different WiFi extenders and 2 different MESH systems over the years with no real success in our two story condo built on a slab. Modem and router in my second floor den that provided plenty of signal there (obviously) and also directly below in the downstairs den and master bedroom (wood floor and joists). The staircase and and downstairs wall all had metal studs and really limited signal for the living room (primary TV location), sunroom, and kitchen area.
When Spectrum introduced their POD system, I signed up for three and installed all of them with little to no fuss or bother. That certainly did the trick immediately and we now had at least 2/3 full strength or higher signals in all of the previously spotty sections.
Withing 10 days I had disconnected one of the PODS with no discernible signal decrease and a week later disconnected a second POD. We were now down to using one which did an exemplary job of flooding the downstairs with a surprisingly strong and consistent signal.
Returned the two I no longer needed within the first thirty days and have been using one only ever since ($3.00/Month) and could not be more satisfied. I even have our primary TV connected via its USB 2.0 port to the Ethernet port of the POD which consistently feeds the TV with just over 300 MBPS!
Had to replace the original POD only once due to a (possibly) heat induced crack at no charge.
Small investment that has really paid off!
