Heavy rains a week ago brought down 3 trees on lot behind us... No land slippage, just tree failures..
Awaiting warmer weather before a clean up, but did do an exam...
Whoa! more like 5.. One, the largest, broke tree in half, and felled portion is angling against it...
I can do the smaller 3 closest to lot line... in the area I call the "Fire Break" between lots....
Informed lot owner, who says things may get active there later this year... (Pre build 3D Survey occurred a month ago during warm spell).
So looked at other lot.... See 3 trees that are now angling downhill instead of vertical.... Again, just tree issue not land. Far from lot line... So I'll just watch them....
Our lot looks good! Other Projects for this year: Should finish the last 16' of rock border, Marble gravel around near side of pond, and dig up and fill with rock layers at one 10' erosion area (underground stream seepage) on steep hill beside pond.... Projects for this year...
