Thane_Bitter Yes, I did luck out that it comes with a very-heavy metal center stand. If I had purchased something with multiple legs I would have had to wall mounted it. This way, I don't have to do the wall mount thing. No rambunctious kids (or adults) here, or likelyhood of earthquakes, so I see no need to add a anti-tip cable to the wall.
Yes, that is a sound bar, but it is the older Vizio brand sound bar that I was using with the replaced Vizio TV. I hooked the sound bar up to the new TV initially, but have since unhooked it. The built-in speakers on the S95D are, to me, pretty awesome. There are multiple speakers on the back of the panel. I compared the audio (with my wife judging, too) the TV speakers versus the sound bar, and it was a wash. (After I discontinued the optical connection to the sound bar, I now have optical connection going to a Resound GN TV Streamer+ for LE Bluetooth Auracast transmission to my Auracast capable hearing aids. That's another thread topic, though.)
The S95D TV also uses Samsung's "One Connect" box. So all of the cable connections (HDMI, usb, coax, RJ45-Ethernet, and power) are on a laptop-sized separate device (sitting in the dark on top of the blu-ray player in my pic). There is one single relatively-thin cable that runs from the One Connect device to the back of the TV. Easy to hide.
Edited to change a typo in tne model number.
