Yeah, episode 3 was pretty much the characters dealing with the aftermath of episode 2.
Although there wasn’t any action, the episode was filled with great scenes. I was surprised by Seth’s speech to try to persuade the Town Council to send a group to avenge Joel’s murder. Also Ellie deciding not to take Joel’s watch from his house, but instead choosingto take his revolver. And then it turns out that Seth was the one who outfitted Dina and Ellie to go on their hunt.
Episode 4 (titled “Day One”) gets back into the story and the action. Though a little zombie-killing action is fun to watch, I’m more interested in how they adapt the story, and there’s a fair bit of story progression in this episode.
We get some more information about the people (Seraphites) we saw on the trail in the previous episode.
We also get an intro to Isaac, the leader of the WLF, and the methods they use. The two scenes with him in it were great.
Every day a Wolf joins the Seraphites, no Seraphite ever leaves them to join the WLF.
I’m hoping they didn’t just forget about Shimmer, still locked up in the music store.
I prefer when the show does things we didn’t get in the game, but it’s till fun to see some parts of the game duplicated on the show, sometimes exactly.
