Win 24H2 update told me to Bend Over

The Windows 11 update to 24H2 has told me to bend over and let Microsoft drive.

Microsoft told me I needed to update to 24H2 and was nice enough to do it for me.
The first couple of things I've encountered...

My desktop background is gone. I can deal with it but I'm not overjoyed.
Access to a shared storage device on my router is gone and I can't get it back.
My All-In-One has disappeared.

I've got a month old image of this disk but Microsoft is gonna load 24H2 again.
Before stumbling upon more sh*t from this update what else should I check?

I've never been excited about Windows 11 but it came installed on this PC. Maybe I can find a way to get Windows 7 back.

vaxvms The loss of access to network attached storage is a known issue with the Win 11 24H2 update. The links below have several suggestions to deal with the update change that requires SMB signing on all connections.

If you go back, use InControl per @PL1's suggestion that will stop it until you are confident that a later build won't screw things up. It hasn't been offered to me nor do I want it at this point, and I believe that that is because my machine is unsupported despite current having 23H2. Renegade behavior can have its advantages. BTW, I always keep images virtually on a daily basis to save time catching up should I need to restore my OS.
